Warranty issues on jacked/wheel upgraded new trucks?

Did you read what I posted? How about you go back and read it and then try calling me out. Obviously you didn't read it because you would have saw this:

Wow Bob, you sure jump to conclusions too fast. Seems someone that holds yourself of higher caliber wouldn't jump to such conclusions.

Maurice, Maurice, what I posted was right out of your Magnuson Link!!:dntknw::dntknw:

In conclusion, you can't read.

Please return to post #9 where I summed up what you bolded in your quotes.

BTW: If I was Maurice, you don't know me well enough to call me by name so start referring to me as my screen name.

really it all boils down to your dealership and how cool they are.My local ford dealership is cool as can be in reason.

The extended warranty people are really bitchy and picky. But a cool dealership and service writter can make a big diffrence as well.As they might help push some common sense on some of these people....

its kinda a hit and miss thing...take a day or two and watch what comes threw thier service dept. if you see lots of lifted truck. good chance
if you dont see a one....ummmm

Many of you have hit it on the head, it all boils down, in affect, to who you know. Why else would truck obviously modified and used in truck/tractor pulls, be repaired under warranty at (an undisclosed shop) when anyone can see the truck is modified well beyond acceptable. Somewhere between the mud tires, stacks, programmer, intake and ladder bars....youd think someone would be asking, WTF MATE?

A Super Duty was just denied at the dealership my brother works at with 35" MT's and a small lift for a fried tranny. It was an extended warrentee thing where they sent an inspector down to check it out, at first sight of the tires it was denied, although if the tranny couldn't take them in was already on the way out anyway...

That is ESP and they play by different rules. It can be very much up to the inspector and his relationship with the dealership and technician working on the truck.

That said, 35" MT's on a SuperDuty is nothing to worry about. Hell, every 3 rd SD up here has them and no issues that I'm aware of.

Makes sense that I was unable to source one out through about half a dozen Ford-based resources. Funny how none of my guys knew about the early '08 availability of the Grabber Orange special edition colour and the late availability of the manual tranny though. :shok:

Can I assume that I have a relatively rare truck being manual and leather-equipped? My salesperson, the detailer who was preparing my vehicle for delivery and the delivery person all commented on how they rarely see Rangers with this combo.

Well I haven't personally seen any '08 Rangers with a manual trans, never mind a FX4 with leather.

Yeah, but people love to buy those things, I thought it was worth mentioning.

Beautiful. Sounds like I've got something special then. :icon_thumby:

I've had an eye out downstairs in the service bays over the past few days and have noticed quite a few jacked rigs in for service. It seems like it may be a jack-friendly store. I will try to develop a good repore with the service manager for when the time comes.
