want to use dana 44 knuckle on Dana 35 beam

I am tired of burning through bearins on my d35 hub. ive been told in the past that the ball joint taper in the bottom of the beam can be re-drilled to match the BJ on the dana 44 knuckle from the bronco beams. does anyone know if this is true, and if so, how to figure out the taper?!?!

also, if anyone has 2 sets of dana 44 knuckles im looking to buy. need the bolt on snout and calipers, but nothign else. i dont use use 4wd.

REPEAT! i do NOT use 4wd. i just want a stronger wheel system holding my wheel on at 75mph in the whoops.

i did this but i welded the calper mounting tabs to my d35 knuckle. i didn't want to mess with retapering my ttb

I think he wants the wider spacing between the bearings. I'm not familiar with the workings of either so maybe what you did addresses that.

no he just achieved better brakes, the biggest problem is the wheel bearing spacing on the 35 is so close together, so when running bigger tires or more offset, you wipe out bearings all the time, the 44 has a stronger stub axle, better hubs, and bigger brakes

When I said 'he', I meant the down4glamis. When I said 'you', I meant cooljman1, but thanks for the info anyway. It's good info to have in case my bearings start going south all the time. I'm running a short course off road race truck, but I don't get the speeds [50 mph tops on tight short course] or whoops that down4glamis probably does.

i figured you werent referring to me or anything, but i know you are in the middle of building a truck, and since you said you werent farmiliar with the setup, i figured i would explain it to you in case you get to that stage of your build and decide to go that route

no i got the larger spindles and wheel bearings also the d44 stub shafts too with my swap i had to use the d44 rotors and calipers because that is what the d44 bearings ride on. you couldn't just put d44 rotors and calipers on the d35 because the d35 bearings wouldn't fit inside the larger rotor.
