This guy got stuck i. The snow on a trail in his Ford Bronco. Jeep owner comes along and agrees to pull him out.

They use a kinetic rope and a soft shackle, which is basically another piece of rope.

The Jeep hammers it to jerk him free. In the 2nd attempt the rope breaks and all that kinetic energy these ropes build up sends it through the windshield and hits him in the neck.

The guy is air lifted to a hospital do to how much he's bleeding.

This is why I'm not a fan of kinetic ropes.

I'm also not a fan of soft shackles.

I've seen people think they need to go full bore and jerk a vehicle free. This is when you see people getting their bumpers ripped off.

Communications is important. If you're in a group, make sure you don't run off and leave the petson that's behind you.

If you get stuck, comminicate with the person helping you how you're going to get the vehicle free, when to go, and when to stop.

Use quality equipment rated for the weight of your vehicle and know how to properly use it.

Have a good first aid kit. It just might save your life.

Be patient, and be safe.
