Looking to get back in a Ranger and I'm trying for something particular

Good condition pre-facelift 1st Gen '83-'85
Cologne, Dark Spruce, Auto, RWD, 7ft Bed.
Finders fee: $300 starting
Preferably in the Southeast but I've got time for a road trip.

Single or extended cab ? And bench seat or split bench? Got a preference on year?

So do you want my paypal info to send the finders fee or how does this work?

Long bed is standard cab only.

Best of luck, dark spruce is hard to find in any condition.

Let me see if I can find the truck for you first. You never know what might show up. I'm in Montana. A bit of a ways from Georgia but I might be able to find your truck an 83 will be hard to find and yes in that color 😂🤦‍♂️

That's actually what drove me to want this specific combo, although I 99.9% doubt a 2 tone XLT variant even exists

any of the 2.8 years but preferably '85,
Loooooooong bed. Split bench.

I'd actually prefer a manual but the lady in my life refuses to learn stick and I want her to be able to drive it.

Y'all are right, it's a bit mad to be gunning for a Spruce. That's really what's driving the finders fee.
There's a dozen or so trucks available within 100 miles of me with everything but the paint. But Marti says they exist. That's not necessarily a vote of confidence but if corvette owners are willing to trust them....

If there are a dozen nearby, why not pick out a good one ahnd have it painted?

i found a single cab, long bed, 5 speed, 4 cylinder, and 4 wheel drive. its blue though

Oh, they exist.

But I have seen less than 5 in real life over the years.

I also have a dark green but it is a special order fleet color so I am always on the lookout for another with my even weirder color.

Sadly needs to be an automatic and the 2.8. I'm not against 4WD, but being in the deep south, I have little use for it and would like the weight reduction.

Partly because of the vin purest in me, partly because the vast majority of rangers came with red or blue interiors which would look terrible with green paint. But mostly because even an orange peel job from Maaco is eyewatering. Before you look at graphics, 2 tone, or even factory stripe kits, a single stage-single color job starts at 9 grand. I'm not really looking for a show car, just something that tickles the fancy.

color me jealous
