Valve Job at 140,000 miles

I have my 2.9 down to the short block because I dropped an injector clip into the intake. Money is an issue. My wife will give me shit if I spend to much on this old truck. I will do all the gaskets top to bottom. The push rods have wear from the rocker arms and I am wondering about the valve and guides. I thought about lapping the valves in but what about the guides?
