V8 Conversion Headers

Well, I ordered the 88400's so we'll see how they fit in an 87 standard cab 2 wheel drive soon enough... If not, I'll mod them until they do fit. I have an entire stainless system to hand fab at the same time also. Looking at TIG machines now.

GB :)

mustang headers?

will the stock mustang headers work?

will the stock mustang headers work?

No.

SN-95 will work on the DS but the passenger side is the same as a Fox where it points directly at the frame.

For those installing long tubes, do you install them when you set the motor in, or after installing the transmission?

You have a pic of those speedway headers welded up?

No unfortunately I didn't take any picks after I made them, before installing. I do have this video of them on the truck. Passenger side was fairly easy. The drivers side I made the rear 2 headers pipes go under the steering shaft. The front 2 go over and they connect with some cheap flanges I bought. So the collector and rear 2 pipes are fully solid and go on first. Then the front 2 bolt together. It was time consuming but not at all that difficult.

Make your own headers that exit outside the frame. Much better. less clearance issues. Speedway Motors has a weld up kit for SBF for $150. on sale now for $115. Comes with plenty of pipe, Collectors and flanges. I used it on my 351W swap recently.

Outside the frame is an option for Ibeam / Gearbox trucks, the Ibeam trucks have many header options, they are much easier to fab up or modify something to work.

Outside the frame will not work on a 98+ Control Arm / Rack and Pinion truck.

I have a set of Kaufmann headers that I used on my 93 reg cab 2wd with 5.0. I'm thinking about using them on another Ranger 96 but with a 351w. This is my daily driver, so I don't want to take a year to do it like the first one. Does anyone know if they will fit? I also have the Kaufmann poly motor mounts, which are awesome.

Just scored these for my Bronco2!

How big are those runners? They look huge!

Got em for $75

The primary runners are 1 5/8 and the log is 2.5". I got some V-bands to weld to the collectors then blast and header paint
