v belt to serpintine conversion

will any of the newer 2.9l or 4.0 accessories bolt on to 2.9l in my 88...
i just like the set up better

Don't know about the 2.9 but the water pump on the 2,8 with V-belts rotates clockwise. The water pump on the 4.0 with serpentine belt turns counter-clockwise. Might be worth considering.
