Why is that?
The only reason I can state at the moment is that time (among many) they sent a carpenter to assist my metal shop...slow day of filming in progress. He snapped many of my expensive drill/tap/countersink bits. and stripped uncountable phillips bits.

I've done a lot of stuff in the back seats of ford's that Henry the first wouldn't of approved of

That’s enough of that.

Heh. Tell that to him, stuff that comes out of that guy's mouth would make al Sharpton cry 🤣

I hate when people hit stuff with adjustable wrenches. It mushrooms the key hole in and eventually you can’t open them up anymore. There’s one guy at work in particular that uses a 24” adjustable to drive straightening wedges. You can hear it throughout the weld shop.

Used to have a guy that would use a torch as a hammer.

"cheap pos torch never wants to work right..."

They're called "tools". Sure some are built for a more specific purpose, but that doesn't mean they can't be adapted for other uses. I figure as long as you have a grasp on the weaknesses of the particular tool and are willing to accept the consequences of a possible failure in its "misuse", go for it. I'm also a big believer of "natural selection" for population control. :ROFLMAO:

Some people shouldn't be allowed to use any tool or really perform any kind of work that involves common sense. They simply aren't equipped.

I had one guy who used the torch as a slag hammer, the other guys chewed him out I didn't have to say a word.

Ive got this massive flathead screwdriver i bought at big lots probably 25 years ago.

I literally dont think ive ever used it as a screwdriver. Now the tip is so mushroomed i dont think you could.

Its been a prybar, chisel, punch, can opener trunk opening tool, survived a car fire (actually made it better by melting the black tape i had to hold the handle togther into a nice piece of charcol).

Truely a universal tool.

25 years ago was after the cheapo screwdrivers where upgraded. The handles on the cheap screwdrivers sold in those dollar days bins and Kragen Auto Parts back in the 80 would break into pieces if you used too much torque.

I have a larger made in USa Craftsman screwdriver I've abused over the years. I've even used the handle on it is a hammer.
