tell me what this is
i pulled my ash tray out and i am trying to disconnect my dummie lights and i found this wirring thing and it ha a orange and black wire and a blue and black wire i heard from somewere that the orange wire is for brakes

What if CUT it?

Sounds like the wires for the Cigar lighter and illumination light. Orange should be the power for the lighter and the blue should be for the light.

At the ends of the wires, what kind of connectors are on them? A 90 degree rubberized end on the Orange?

no its not the cigret light thing im not htat stupid lol its like a little lastic box with wires cvomein out

If it is just a light on the dash that is bothering you such as the abs light, it would probably be easier to take the cluster out and remove the bulb. tracing down wiring sucks, and if you cut the wrong wire, you can cause yourself more aggravation. If it is for the the regular brake light, I would seriously consider finding out why it is on, as this is a warning indicator that something is wrong with the brake system (important safety item on the truck)

ya i know but i have put new pads on all the way arround and drums and im not worried about haveing ab, if they lived with it in the past i can live wit it now plus anyways no one would need abs if no one rode peoples asses on the road lol if you just keep your distance and drive safe their is not much use for abs

this is all about how i hit my brakes and my abs lights comes on and my parking brake light comes on i was searching on a way to get to the light bulb to get it unhooked but in another forum i read about here is the link http://www.rangerpowersports.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1985
and it says something about a orange and black wire and were i found it was in a plastic box witha red plastic thing that i pooped out and put back in and as i said their is the orange with black wire comein out and a blue and black wire comein out and a red wire that is stripped but nothing connected to it and another wire comeing out is a yellow one with a crimp thing on it but no wire crimp on the other end

That little box sounds like it would be the chime box. You know, the ding...ding...ding...,because your headlights are on and the door is open\key still in the ignition switch, seatbelt not fastened. That box is located there as well.

i also found a green wire that was satered to a grey wire and had a silver tag that had an r on it but it was cut on both end and was just sitting behind the dash board like a piece of garbage connected to nothing lol but i think that was from the sterio

I now have my Electrical & Vacuum Troubleshooting manual out, give me a moment, I am looking. This book has very detailed diagrams for both Vac and Electrical.

thank you so much another question that chime box i just found thatto cause of you (thanks) i unplugged it but that is a lot of wires just for that thing to buzz cause i hate the buzzing sound but will that affect anything else if that is unplugged also

there is a picture of it

A picture would help.

This is what is showing in my book, BTW it is for a 1993, but I doubt they changed the wiring colors that much. I show a Red wire connecting to a Black\Orange stripe wire which goes to pin 12 on the Rabs Module *DO NOT CUT THAT WIRE!!!! IT is also tha KAM (Keep Alive Memory)*

Now the "Anti-Lock Brakes Indicator light" comes from Fuse #7 (15Amp) has a Red\Yellow going TO the Instrument panel for the light. The other side of the light is Dark Green going to the Rabs Module.
