...Refuses to fit quite right.

It's not workin' out since I've thrown the rad back in (again), even the old hoses doesn't quite work. The new one downright doesn't go on..at all. It LOOKS like the rad isn't quite mounting fully against the front of the truck, but I can't find anything that's catching, even that silly wiring harness in front of it.
To get the rad in I had to push down on the driver's side of it pretty hard to line up the u-nut, if that helps out all with what's interfering.

The issue is the length of the hose that runs across the width of the truck is too much, so the bend towards the upper rad connection is kinking up badly. I'll be taking the rad out again tomorrow, but I hoped someone might have an idea, since this is the 3rd time and I've never quite figured it out.

Radiator should have two catch posts on the bottom that slide into grommets to hold the bottom in place. If they are not seated in the grommets, it will not let the radiator sit all the way down, which can prevent it from letting the top move all the way forward for proper securement.

Does the old Rad hose go on? If so, compare them side by side. Make sure you got the correct size new one for your truck.

Can also make sure you are putting the hose on the correct direction. i.e. you might be trying to put the t-stat housing side of the rad hose on the radiator side. (backwards) Some hoses have multiple bends and will not work properly if installed on the wrong ends.

Was the hose, really. They were extremely similar, but after a little trimming on the thermostat end of the new hose, cut at an angle, it finally fit in there and worked. Huzzah!

The truck is at least back to running and awaiting new rear springs. :)
