Hello all -

Just bought an '85 Bronco II, 5 speed 4x4. First project is Powerspark ignition and carb swap (no distributors to be found for a Duraspark swap). Look forward to any advice and input on general upgrades that folks have done to improve driveability and reliability. Going to be keeping this one cosmetically stock (no lifts, etc.) and it will be a daily driver.

Thanks!

Welcome aboard. I'd give it a throrough inspection and change all the fluids, including the clutch fluid. If you don't know how old the brake hoses are I'd replace them and flush the brake fluid. Look closely at the rag joint in the steering column, it's apt to be dried out and cracked. Jobbers like Napa sell repair kits that include new rubber.
Look over the tech library and articles/resources section on this site, you're bound to find something you can use.

unsolicited advice.

times eleventy on what Walt suggested.

Not really unsolicited at this point now is it?

Anyway. Pictures?

Also 4.0 swap. But I'm partial. The engine controls on the early ones are perfect for me. I hate carburetors.
