My buddy called me and heres whats going on...
He was back in the woods on his property cutting wood with a hay wagon with sides on it, and a Ford 9N tractor (I think its actually a massey, but same thing) hooked to it.
He had it parked on a decent incline and the tractor slipped out of 1st gear and rolled backwards into a creek, the drive path is barely wide enough to get the 9N down, he climbed on the tractor and tried to drive it out, but the hay wagon (half full of wood) and the tractor both are sunk in the soft bottom of the creek up to the axles.
Now granted, the banks of the creek arnt that steep, but theres no way of getting back in there with anything thats big enough to pull it up out of there. I know my Mud truck woudl probely do it but trying to wedge a 76 F250 through a 6ft or so wide path aint gonna happen.
I took my little IH Cub back there and tried to pull it out, but it just started spinning the tires and lifting the front end.
Theres no way the F150's getting back there, i could probely get rusty back there but a 2wd isnt going to be able to do much of anything....
Any ideas?
I dont know anyone with a winch BTW....
later,
Dustin
