Oh...and that was me :yahoo::yahoo:

Thanks for the praise, it was a great time and I'd gladly do it again. Shay was there as well, and I will say he flat out worked over my ranger for 90% of the trip... something about a doubler? :icon_confused:

Yeah, i heard htat same doubler rumor too. LOL, He also went through two motors didnt he? I know he replaced the one in jersey, didnt he have to swap one on the ride out there too? I havent seen him on here lately did he make home alright? Great job guys. Now I know Im modeling my 93 after the right truck LOL. Im looking forward to the DVD as well.

Yeah, a Ranger and a BII as well. Both had many problems and they are in two editions of Peterson's Offroad mag the last couple of months. As far as I know both Ford owners are members of our site.

I broke parts because I couldn't go slow enough.... He broke parts because he could go slow enough, besides the engine ordeal (1). Just gotta find a happy medium, generally with more chromoly..... & $$$.

We are al proud of your guys!!!!!

Hey Andrew,
I noticed almost all the rigs were running the same tires, and that those tires are now listed in your sig. Were they one of the perks of being chosen, or did they make you buy those just to run with em?

Oh BTW, I couldn't believe it when I saw your truck in there. I was runnin around showin everybody like it was 3rd grade show-n-tell, "I nominated him for TOTM years ago!"

All rigs, readers/sponsors/mag guys, are running the MTR Kevlar. They were the sponsor tire, and were given too us in whatever size we chose (REALLY wish I had had the gears for the 38s....) but it was up to us to find rims.

How do you like the Kevlars? I just bought a set of 35's and will have them on the truck Friday. I got a hell of a deal on them and I am just curious if I should have stuck with more traditional Courser MT or Mud Rover.

I love them, I've used close to a dozen different tires and these seem to be the best general mud tire I've come across. They don't quite do the rocks like my Krawlers, the mud like my toyo's, the asphalt like the BFG AT's etc, but they do a 90% job on everything including wet pavement and snow so far. They are quiet, smooth and measure out to actual sidewall sizes! Oh, and they are LIGHT as far as a good quality mud terrain goes.

I love your approach on the mud pit! It sure got everyone's attention too didn't it?

did you meet rick pewe? how was he? he seems like he could be kind a D1(k..

Lol, I got to spend an week with the entire mag crew and your the second person to ask me that. He's a great guy, I'd sit back and have a beer while shootin the sh!t with him anyday. He may come across a lil strong as he's the ring leader of a 60+ person circus, it he didn't keep a tight leash on things it would fall apart in a hurry as you can imagine.

Since were on the topic of you BSing with the Petersen's guys, Did you happen to talk with Ali about his Ranger? Last I heard of it it was rolled and he had plans to fix it back up even better than before.
