Ford has a nice little bit of competition it seems....Could this mean that the super duty is going to be outweighed? Probably not but i'd hate to say it, just by looking at this, it has grown on me.. I'm almost turning to the dark side...NO never i must and will own an f-250..

Hey i guess Toyota has the fullsize truck thing almost down pat. Minus the fact that it looks like it only comes in a 5 speed. Not really a big fan of the semi rims however. But being that its an 8.0L and is only running 300/600 it seems a little wack, and i mean 1500 lb HINO Motor, holy beef batman!

Wow, Toyota put a big @ss commercial 8L diesel engine, in the weak and crappy Tundra, for a SEMA concept.

UGLY!!!! The new chevy's too. Then again just about any new truck is getting plain ugly.

The new Chevys looks pretty good....not crazy about the cavalear like interior on the uplevel models though.

With that weak jap frame and all that torque....first time you loaded it up and stepped on it the frame would pretzel.

Dustin

Yeah, I'm sure it will twist up like a Pretzel.

That's a Hino medium duty truck with a Tundra body on it. They aren't going to produce that thing.

Doesn't mean the big 3 shouldn't be very afraid though. I think we are all learning that the American consumer will buy anything that is good. There will be planty of dually Tundra's pulling things all over the place if they enter that market.

ya I was very dissapointed by the numbers that Hino put down. Their other thought was going with a Cat, which would be very cool but bad for everyone else.

Cat said a long time ago they don't plan on pick-up engines any time soon.

This statement makes you sound nothing but ignorant. Last time I check most of those "weak jap frames" come fully boxed. Toyota mini trucks, pre 94 Mazda B-series, Suzuki Samurai's are just a few that come to mind. Why don't you go take a look under all yours rigs, the only one thats boxed is your Vicky.

While the ones you mentioned may be fully boxed, the crappy @ss Tundra is not, too bad soo sad.
These two vids show just what a turd the Tundra frame is.

Looks like a cross between a pickup, a dinosaur, and a penis.

Yes, while Ford's new F-150 has a boxed and welded frame (which they ar extremely proud of) I would love to see that done with an older F-series, especially the 80-96 style. They have more flex than Junkie's TTB and there isn't a single crossmember welded in, it's all rivets. I've had friends with F-250's put dents in their cabs above the window line from the bed smacking during flex offroad.

I don't even bother to reply to dustins comments anymore really. But anyway...while boxed frames have alot of strength, in the areas where we use salt they tend to rot out and break in half, I don't see too many mazdas, toyotas, or nissan hardbodys around here for that reason. I would much rather have a well built c-channel frame any day of the week.
