so me and a few friends are thinkin of trying to pick up a couple cheap trucks to make into tuff trucks. i found a b2 that wont pass emissions for 400$ its a 2.9 auto, we have to remove the glass and cage it. i was thinkin, if i got the b2 i could sell the b2 glass or whatever. what do ya think?:headbang:

WELLL.. i purchased a b2 last spring for 300... scrap value 2.9 auto 4x4 dana 28.. a lotta people i talked to on here said that the a4ld wont last after the first run an the 28 was going to break down.. WELLL the truck STILL runs AWESOME! hence some MAJOR mods.. welded spider gears in the rear.. 31 inch tires fender trimming.. the dana 28 was running AUTO yes AUTO hubs an they STILL WORK the axle shafts have held up far longer than i anticipated. i ended up welding the u joints into the shafts.. after the 3rd race i no longer have reverse but hey thats why you have a few buddies around. a few races down the road i ended up blowing the center out of the wheel an once that happend i finally snapped a shaft due to it binding up.. so i had a spare dana 35 an i ended up putting that in an LOCKED the rear so its a fully LOCKED rig. interior has been gutted except for 2 seats. battery has been relocated... snorkle inside an bare essentials under the hood. .. i was out at my buddies farm an was messing around in a field an hit a HUGE run made by the tractor barely doing 10mph an i rolled the b2.. got the tractor flipped it back over an drove it back to the garage. assessed the damage an bought a parts truck that night.. swapped doors an pulled the windshield. now you cant even tell its been rolled.

If you pull the glass out of it make sure you put a good cage around yourself.. the winshield takes 90% of the damage in the chance you roll it. other than that this has been THE best beater truck i have ever had.. its taken one hell of a good beating an just keeps on going. once you get the fell of how the truck handles an what not you shouldnt have to be to worried about rolling or anything.. ive jumped mine an i drift around dirt corners fairly well with it.

heres a video of the truck running theirs a ton more videos..ive gone from 2:45 sec to 2:05 sec an ive competed against fullsize trucks 8cylinders big power.. just something about a b2 that rips!

i remember seeing the vids, its bad a$$. so if i dont have pull the glass i souldnt? we are going to follow the same path, gutt it, trim it,31's. i never thought of welding the rear. was that super hard? same with welding u-joint caps? hard?

sorry, I just don't envision a stock B2 being a tough truck........ what is this tough truck thing?

dude I would be using 1 ton axles for that, forget the TTB, go with a 60 SAS and a 14 bolt in the back
