That's a new on me, too, but there were dozens of small-run conversions in the '80s. The wood door trim and outside grab handles are pure 1980s customizing kish.

That is a nice B2, though, and it does have an interesting background. Good luck with it, and on digging up more info on it.

My intentions from the start were to find and restore a B2 to go with my FSB. The novelty of the find has put me in a place where I want to go all original as best I can. I was able to be put in touch with the owner of the now defunct company that did the conversion, so it's a waiting game to get a call, and anyone's guess on what he can tell me.
