turning airbag into storage???

Yeah, really old post, lol. Messing around with my truck today, found out I can just pull mine off with my hands, not sure but looks like I could put an airbag there if I wanted, seems to be wired for one. Would it still work properly with out the cut off switch? Is there a chance that it's wired up for one of that too?

honest officer dsharpKC said it was perfectly ok to carry my gun in there. He is on TRS. He said you cops dont know anything and he can whip all your asses. :icon_rofl:

I want it as a stash for stuff. Not too many people would wanna mess with an airbag I imagine :D

Got friend that keeps telling me I should stash a gun and/or knife in there, LMAO!!

I'm pretty sure none of the 3rd gens came with airbags. Mine has the dummy cover also.
The wire is there, but I don't think you would have an option to disable it.
I also don't know if the wire is even tied in to the airbag module.

I have a few relays and a small fuse panel behind mine for my door locks and soon to be power windows.

yeah, I heard that too, that very few 3rd Gen Rangers got the pass. airbag. I did start my truck with the wire in the dash not plugged into that dummy plug on the back of the cover and it DID throw code 33 (Open Circuit Pass. Airbag).
