i think but im not too sure that my truck (95) is obd2 and that i can use a programer off of a mustang and piggy back it to be able to tune it and run the turbo that i have? has anyone turboed there 2.3 and found out?

u gotta make sure that the flabber valve can run on its own with out the use of mcNuggets

okay bro, thanks for the help. i just replaced the flabber valve last month but i heard it can go bad real fast when trying to do this?

yea jus get lots of sweet and sour sause for it it shudd be good for like 100,00o miles

McNuggets will work in a pinch of salt, but too many chef's spoil the broth...I'd check the kadiddle before hooting on the blowfish though...mine went through my spandex like a greased fart...

yeah...

if your truck is OBDII, you should be able to use any OBDII programmer to flash the PCM. the problem being that since its intended for a mustang, it probably has mustang timing and fuel curves in it. you would have to start from scratch or download ranger info from the tuner manufacturers website (if that particular tuner has it available).

you do realize you cant take care of everything from the PCM though, right? a turbo is going to require new fuel injectors at the least. plus likely a larger MAF, and perhaps a larger volume fuel pump (just depends on your goals).

plus some kind of boost retard module, MSD 6BTM or the like.

forged pistons are nice...but not even close to necissary. 9-10 PSI of boost would be alright on the stockers, as long as he tunes it properly. detonate and you'll kill them in not time.

but if you plan on much over 10PSI, forged will be required.

alright well my block stock can handle 400-500 hp. im going to be running a stock toyota supra turbo in a remote mount setup, 7+ pounds of boost and a small shot of nitrious. i have a extrenal fuel and oil pump, an FMU boost and air fuel gauges, it will be dyno'd the first day and i was told about the mustang programing through a friend? i dont think i will need bigger injectors but i might get some anyway?

:icon_rofl::icon_rofl:

your stock block will handle 400HP for about 2/8ths of a second!

i wouldnt hope for more than about 250 on stock pistons. not much over 350 on forged.

your stock injectors are 19lb/hr, which makes them good for about 125HP...so if you run less than 2psi of boost, your stock injectors will be just dandy :icon_thumby:

by buddies are building the same motor, and theres already runs! the block and pistons and everythiong should be fine. the only thing is the injectors which i might need to replace. and im not planning on changing them to be ohnest.

its your truck.

if you want an improperly built truck that leans out and melts pistons...not to mention doesnt produce the power it should...then have at it.

i thought stock 2.3 injectors were 14 lbs? what size do you need to run 7-10 psi? im thinking of starting a build on a turbo motor, there are quite a few motors in dead rangers sitting in my local junkyards.
