TURBO 2.3 BABEY

Esslinger has since switched to JE pistons, it would probably require a call to Wiseco. I'll look for the paperwork on the .030" pistons I bought this weekend...

If you aren't planning on having a lot of fancy sensors and don't mind wasted spark and batch fire injectors you can run a Microsquirt. With a 3ft base harness is about $350 shipped. The learning curve can be steep but it will do everything necessary.
If i eventually go turbo on my 97 I'll use one. The ECU is about 3"x2" and water sealed. On my 1904 for my bus with Mexican Fuel injection I'll be running the MS3pro because i want EGT sensors on every cylinder, sequential port injection and COP... But that ECU is about $800.
Cool thing about StandAlone you can install an ethanol sensor and run E85 instead of the $4/gal non e10 around here. And our fuel is some of the cheapest in the country.
Since i have a company vehicle and only drive my own cars less than 1000 miles a year i run E85 in my Suburban. Hurts less at the pump
