Truck Will Not Start

ILL RIGHT I JUST PUT THIS MOTOR IN AND IT WILL NOT RUN.IV GOT SPARK AND IV GOT GAS. IV CHECKED THE TIMING. IF I PUT STARTER FLUID IN TB IT STARTS BUT DIES RIGHT AWAY.

Do you hear the fuel pump prime the system as you turn on your key,(just on ...not engaging the starter).

Is this the 89 b2?? Seems to me that your not getting fuel to the engine, if it will light on starter fuild.

check the fuel relay and the fuel interia switch, and ground wires and wire connections.

You sure it's getting gas? How old is the fuel?

ya i can here the fuel pump turn on and i took out one of the spark plug and it has gas on it.

Well...hmmm

fuel filter? Ignition module (TFI) not delivering enough spark? Locol part store can test these...ususally free

ground wires

how is the compression?? maybe you've got something not letting the valves close completely...carbon? bent valve? A compression check will help you understand whats going on.

another possibily...maybe you're 180*off on the timing
