truck turns over doesnt start but starts by poping clutch

Aspirin? What, you think the battery has a headache??? I have tried all sorts of things and have had zero success in 'rejuvenating' a battery with a shorted cell. Prices have gone through the roof on batteries (and tired - 100% increase) in the past couple years (thanks, wash DC...) but you might find a usable one in a boneyard. Check each cell using a VOM by probing from post to cell, then cell to cell, then cell to post with the meter set on DC volts. They should all be pretty close in voltage unless a cell is bad.
That said, I repeat that if the engine cranks and turns over but will not fire when fuel is provided, directly into the intake to be sure there's something to burn, then you likely have an ignition problem, either wires, switch or ignition module. You may check for voltage at the coil(s) while cranking to see if the ignition switch is providing full battery voltage or if it is going to zero while cranking. With the key ON, there should be volts at the coil(s), (in most FoMoCo systems).

No asprin has something in it that interacts with the acid in the battery I have done this a handfull of times you leave the caps off after while on a low charge overnight and usually works why I dont know but yeah this is becoming a headache but hey its a beggining to a project.. So far I have 300 dollars in it thats the price I paid for it.

I am going to look at the positive wire to the starter and coil packs I picked up coil packs for 5 bucks from a bone yard. Hear soon I am going to get pics of both my ranger projects my 94 and my 97 that way you guys no what I am working with.

Asprin helping a battery is a myth. The only thing you should ever add to a battery after the initial fill is distilled water.

Found out some about the asprin trick my dad was going behind me and adding distilled water... I am such a sucker. Well changed the coils nothing wiggled the positive cable and it broke off at the starter......... So next nice day going under and try and fix it see if it helps..
