Im swapping out an automatic transmission on a 2008 Ford Ranger and I have it all ready to remove but cannot find an access to the flex plate nuts. Googled on line and was told that there is an access plate on the passenger side but I was unable to find it. I was not able to get a socket or wrench through the starter hole. What am I missing???

Welcome to TRS :)

Best access is thru starter motor hole as far as I know

On most there is a flat plate across the lower bell housing, 3 smaller bolts
