I recently purshased a used transmition out of a 98 ranger to rebuild.Door post confirmed transmission code T. This is my first rebuild and I am not sure I have the right transmission for my 96 ranger. Dissassembly was straight forward with no surprises. Im ready to order parts necessary to assemble, however I want to be sure it will work in my vehicle. Thought I was buying a 4R44E, however when I begain to overhaul I noticed some differences between the one that is still in the truck. How can I correctly identify the transmission that I purshased. The one in the truck has a speed sensor in the extension housing. The one I purshased does not. Other than that they look very much same.
