Tranny swap. 01 4x4 Explorer to 97 4x4 Ranger xcab

So in my last post I wanted to try and swap a 2wd Explorer tranny into my 97 4x4 Ranger. Found out that won't work without serious rework. (thanks exbass94 & Rose2300!)

So I located a 2001 Explorer with a working tranny. It is a 4x4. Are they any issues with using this tranny? Electrical connections, U-joints etc?

Guess my question is...since this 01 Explorer has the SOHC 4.0L and my truck has the OHV 4.0L would there be ANY difference in the bolt pattern in the block?
