i have a 96 ranger 4x4 with the 4.0 auto tanny in it, i want to swap it for a manual and ive never done this kind of swap i was wondering what all i might need everyone i have asked says a slave cylinder and clutch pedal i have a feeling there is more to it also what kind of tranny would best be suited for it in an off road application the auto tranny is starting to go out and lets face it shifting the gears yourself is so much better thanks everyone

You need:

-Manual starter
-Flywheel
-Manual ECU
-Flywheel bolts
-Tranny cover plate for back of motor
-Clutch
-Pressure plate bolts
-Trans
-Under carpet floor plate (Or you can cut and drill yours)
-Shifter (and boots and plastic cover plate....or make your own cover plate)
-Pedal assembly (a pain to remove and install with dash in, but can be done if you are a contorshionist)
-Master cylinder assembly and reservor
-Hydro clutch line
-Correct driveshaft(s)
-Wiring harness for the correct trans/t-case combo

I just so happen to have all of this in an Explorer I am parting out (see my ad in "parts for sale" section, or PM me)
