I have a 94 4.0L auto that I just started having a problem with today. It usually revs at about 1600 rpm at 80kph. today while driving it was reving at about 2400 to pull 80kph. I had it in o/d and tryed shifting it in and out a few times to see if that would make a difference but it didn't. Could it be as simple as low fluid level? I'm going to check tomorrow

ok guys i figured out what is causing the problem. believe it or not when i turn my headlights on my o/d kicks out! try figure that one out. also about two weeks ago my clock display started going out every time i stepped on the break pedal, then came on when i let off. does anybody have a clue what is wrong here?

If you have a trailer connector, check that the wires are not shorting the lights to the brake lights. Also check the bulb holders in the rear light clusters.
