Hey guys, First thanks for makin this site. I found it thru Google while researching engine perf. issues. It started dying at stops and seemed to be related to heat buildup. It smelled like it was flooded and I had to let it cool down. Anyway I got this truck from my cousin who blew a head gasket and was gonna part it. I got it for $700 and put $450 into it replacing one head and rebuilding the other. Recently got it running slowly but surely will be a dependable work truck.
It's called the "Mater" after Towmater in the kids movie Cars. My cousins boy named it cuz it reminded him of the truck in the movie. My other cousin wanted to name it Power Ranger LOL. Hell no! So Mater I is besides, my kids have come to like it.
I hope to lift it, put a locker in back, knobby tires, and a kick ass sound system.
