Still the pedal pulsation. New rear drum hardware, drums turned before installation. New front calipers, mounting brackets, sliderpins, rotors, bearings, had the front rotors lathed on the truck and Cleaned the abs sensors and reseated. New shocks front and back, new springs. four new tires balanced. and that fu@#*(*ing pedal pulsation won't go away. The only thing brake wise i haven't replaced is the master cylinder, HCU, ABS modual, brake lines. Somebody please i beg of you, what is the answer, I seek? Really, I have started talking to my cigarettes and coffee when i am working on this, the girl friend is loosing it also, because i refuse to take it to the dealership for some $19,000,000 fix when later researched took 8minuets and a $10.00 part.:shout:

Did you do an alignment?

New brake pads as well?

I'm sure you have, but I didn't see it in your post.

no alignment, but yes to new pads, I also lost the plastic thrust washer, one evening, that sits with the hub, its the one that sits like this. inter locknut, washer, outerlock nut, metal washer, platic washer spliined washer, snap ring, hub.

Dumb question for you but it might help.....have you tried running it with the ABS module unplugged to see if it's interferring too early? It'll immediately turn on your ABS warning light but it will eliminate that from the system to narrow your search down. Hope this helps!!

sounds like a bent, or just bad casting on the reluctor ring on the front rotor. dont know for sure without driving it, but the abs will kick in at slow speed usually. i have had that problem with rotors from autozone, as well as napa. could also be a sensor. does it pulse real bad? or just barely, but enough to annoy? try unpluging the abs sensors at the wheels.

Having th rotors turned fixes nothing except temp. If at any point you over heated and warped them the turning fixes the warp issues but they were still overheated and will heat up that much faster and warp again that much faster. Soemthing is obviously bouncing and causing the fluid to flucuate so what do we have? Tires, Rotors, Pads, Wheel bearings, Slidelocks for hte calipers(which need to be mildly greases), OH YEAH ANTI LOCK BRAKES, which pulse when the wheels are close to lockup.

I think that if its not the antilock, then one of your wheels is messed up somehow, loose. either lugnuts or bearings or broke worse, balljoints or sumthing. I would put new rotors on with new bearings and seals. roughly 60 bux. That eliminates any problems with the friction area of the braking system. start there for now. The reason I say new bearings even though you just did that is because if they were mounted wrong they will go bad quick. Maybe a loose tierod which is allowing the tire to wobble when slowing down, theres a buncha things could be going wrong. I normally dont go to the dealer either, but I will go to a goo dmechanic and ask his opinion. They normally have an answer off top of their head. GO to a small town mech not one of the big names....

The rotors are from autozone, no alignment. I will need some details on how to tell between the types of pulses. I don't feel it in the steering wheel, but when i turn into my driveway (gravel) there is a real nasty uphill, water eroted trench kinda place(not bad really), but a civic can safely navigate through it, where the pulsation just goes crazy until i stop, this is without me pushing the brake. The abs light is not on and when i put the parking brake on the, that light does not come on.

will try to yank out the abs modual and pull the sensors, systematically of course. but the modual, is that the little box behind the radio/cd bezel or the one near the inertia switch, on the passanger floor board? Ok going to buy new rotors and bearings, again, where do i find OEM or better quallity, need a company name. Something made in America would be great, but i do believe autozone has seen my last dollar spent there.

If you over torqued the new rotors on you could have warped one or both...

AZone rotors are not known for being the best quality either...

sure you don't have a flat spot on one of your tires?

REYBESTOS brakes! from parts plus. and dont actually pull the sensors, just unplug them! its free, and it takes 2 seconds! your abs light will come on, but see if it fixes the problem!

Check out Rockauto.com for prices on your rotors and bearings!! They carry everything from the $20 cheapos to the $100 Raybestos drilled and slotted. The bearings will run you around $10. Unless you gotta have the parts tonight??!! Hope this helps:beer:

i would never get rotors shipped by ups, or fedex or usps! your just asking for them to throw them! lol
