As they are the same price I'd take the crawler M/Ts they have deep lugs that would self clean for good traction in the mud but I think the guard dogs have some mild side wall which I also like. My all time favorite M/T is Pro Comp and the crawlers remind me of them.

I know im new but my buddy bought a set of the pro comps, he said they were a aste they proformed well in mud and snow but wore really fast, bout 6 mouths to be exact.

I like the Pro Comps, too.....remind me of BFG's MT......which is why I also like the Crawlers. I've always been partial to BFG tires, though.

I had mine on for 3 years now they are just taking up room in the garage till I get another truck but they still easily had 50% or more tread heres a side pic and a rear pic. I even had a 40 min round trip to work all highway.

Did your buddy happen to have some type of locker?

Tmaxx, what is your intended use for these tires, dedicated trail rig, weekend wheeler, DD?? This would help in deciding which tire you choose
SVT

it will be a weekend wheeler

dd/ww? then i'd say guard dog.. the old MTR's, they have been proved several times... i know guys that drive them all the time.

i called them a while ago and they said they were out of stock for a while and they couldve put me on the waiting list so i said F that. i wouldve gotten the guard dogs tho

i like the look of the CRAWLER M/T but for some reason i dont see them lasting as long as to GUARD DOG M/T on the road they will see off road but more on road one more question will 33s be to hard on the 2.9 with 410s:icon_cheers:

its possible, but not idea, i'd say 4.56's or 4.88's.. depends on auto or stick.

well i can't afford a set of gears for it so would i be better of geting 31x10.5x15 ???

well... i'd say get 33's and deal for now then regear when you can, with an 8.8/d35 swap! lol... in all reality, i did what you're thinking about now. went with tires for the gears i had... i'm not happy. i still want 33's.. and gonna regear and buy tires. i'm just broke!

If you look at the stats for those two tires, the Guard Dogs have like 3/32 more tread out of the factory.
