i like the look of the CRAWLER M/T but for some reason i dont see them lasting as long as to GUARD DOG M/T on the road they will see off road but more on road one more question will 33s be to hard on the 2.9 with 410s:icon_cheers:

If adsm finds this thread he'll say you'll be fine so long as you upgrade to a 10" 4.0 clutch.

I'm inclined to agree.

the dawgs just seem to have a better pattern for self cleaning than the crawlers... that and I like the lugs better. The overall tread pattern seems to be the width of the tire from those photos.

power wise the 2.9 is fine with anything under 33's and 4.10 gears, period, sure its not a barn burner, but it WORKS and RELIABLY, id get the 33's and not look back, u will actually be surpised at how little u actually lose

also, upgrading to either a 4.0 clutch OR a aftermarket 2.9 clutch (zoom works well for me) will make sure u dont smoke the stock clutch

what would be the cheapest thing to do the 4.0 clutch OR a aftermarket 2.9 clutch ????

I am getting the gaurd dogs for my truck once i get my lift. I looked at the 3 tires i saw on the site i was on (Treadwright.com) and thought this looked better for my DD. The crawlers look more for a mudder to me

i gess i might get the gaurd dogs then thanks for the input

your in pa and you have snow to think about, I would def look at the guard dogs, and maybe even conisder grooving them,.

spend the extra dough on the kedge grip, couple friends have and have been LOVING it in the snow/ice bullshit

and it would probably be about the same price, 4.0 clutch or 2.9 performance clutch(because of buyin the 4.0 flywheel)

what is the same size as a 33x12.5R15 in a metric size i was told it was 285/85/15 is that right ????

I when to TreadWright.com today they dont sell 33s any more:bawling: any one know of some were else i can get a set of 33 cheap like the one i want is there any other recap places i can go to i tried to google it but had no luck plz let me know if not would 31x10.5R15 be to small and look dumb

Dunlop Radial Mud Rovers seem like a pretty decent tire for fairly cheap. (a friend runs those, seems happy with them). They actually run a hair over size too (like 33.2" or so when I measured).

i think im just have to go with 31x11.5R15 gaurd dogs. i love the $89.75 price of them

the dunlops are good tires to.. i might go that route if treadwrights don't get some more in..
