I just recently purchased a 1993 ford ranger 3.0 L 6 cyl manual, and i've been driving it with a ticking noise coming from the engine, and i noticed the check oil light came on. The manual is useless, it has no tech info in it whatsoever, and i'm not sure where to look in the site.

could someone give ideas or point me to where to go?

Thanks

Thanks, I'll check that tomorrow (when its light out)

if the oil level is within the safe area, then your oil pressure is low. DO NOT DRIVE THE TRUCK with low oil pressure, it will ruin the motor beyond salvaging.

Ya, i checked the level, it was low (i'm stupid, i know :) ) thanks. the ticking noise remains, but i took it to a mechanic today, for a general look over, and he said it was fine. The only problems with it were a leaking hose and it needs a chemical flush. I'm doin those this weekend. i couldn't believe it when he said the clutch was new and the exhaust was new too. 130,000 miles and still goin. :)
