Engine ticking


do you have any oil leaks at the head? especially the cam end seals. that can cause the the nearest valve assembly to the leak to not oil right even if it it gets oil.

Rusty o Ranger makes a good point

You should consider adjusting your rockers. 80k is plenty of time to need an adjustment. Caution, the 2.9L uses hydraulic lifters so the adjustment needs to be made with the resulting correct preload on the lifters.

While you have the rocker arms off, it is highly recommended that you thouroghly clean the inside of the arm assemblies. Inspect your push rods for wear too.

I have it. It gets pretty silly sometimes. I don't randomely cuss but I have a barely noticeable twitch where a give my head a little shake. But sometimes it looks like I have bugs on my face and im trying to shake them off.
