What are the symptoms of a bad throttle positioning sensor. Can it at all cause spark knocking when you rev it up really fast in netural. What I mean by fast it not high RPM's, but pushing the pedal fast and then letting off.

shouldnt.

the TPS should not be able to cause spark knock. to verify this, unplug the sensor and see if it still knocks.

the reason it only knocks when you blip the throttle is due to high engine load (accelerating the engines internal parts), combined with low RPM.

I just put a new belt on the motor and it quit! Don't know what it was??:clapping:

probably the belt tensioner. they have been known to "stick and release" when they start to go out, causing a ticking sound.
