I came here for some simple information about suggestions on maintenance items on my Ford Ranger.

Got lored in by pickle and dumpster memes.

Decided it was a good idea to super charge a Ford ranger.

Now I have two of these things because I wanted to 4 wheel drive stuff like the cool kids

Always been my thought that if you're gonna drive one Ranger... might as well buy a second one.

Im on #5 myself.

Depends on what you define as cool. I've seen some pretty cool RWD Rangers on here too.

Having one of each isn't a bad thing either.

Welcome to the addiction. In addition to everything I currently own, I sold one Bronco II, scrapped 2, and am scrapping an Explorer. All three were too far gone but the parts went into my others.

I started with coming here back like 2002 looking for information on wiring up a tach in my first Ranger, a 2000 with the 3.0, 5-spd, 2wd. Then I bought my 88 off of a former member, then bought my choptop off a former member, then bought an 86 off a former member (scrapped, but the parts fixed my choptop and did the 4x4 conversion. Wiltoncombs, Zman and a couple others helped with that all. Things kinda snowballed after that...

I think I still had the ‘88 when I first signed up, that or the 93 4x supercab. No way to find my first post as there was some forum glitch or reboot back in the day and had to start over.

Im on #5 myself.
I've had two Rangers and two Sport Tracs.
Found this place looking for a cat-back exhaust for my 2002 Off-Road. Ended up becoming a Mod and trail group leader on the old runs in Wellsville, OH.
The pic floating around of Will's old gold BII climbing some bodacious gully and you see mostly undercarriage, actually Will took the pic and I was driving.
When I owned a small company I would lease a new truck through my business every three years until the recession hit and killed my business and then they quit making Sport Tracs so I still have that one.
1999 Ranger Supercab 4x4, 3.slow, 5-speed stick.
2002 Ranger Supercab 4x4, Off-Road, 4.0, auto, loaded. Incredible off-roader for a relatively stock truck. Torsion twist and slightly larger and knarlier tires.
2005 Sport Trac that I built into the FX4 Sport Trac that Ford never made. My kids were getting too big to ride in the back of a Ranger Supercab.
2008 Sport Trac, current ride. Doesn't get off-roaded but does get used regularly as a truck. Just turned 206,000 miles. Can't complain.

The 2019 is Ranger #3 for me.

I found this forum after getting tired of the children on another Ranger forum and the obvious slow death that particular forum is experiencing. I've found this one to be much more enjoyable. Right along the lines of a CR-V forum I belonged to before it got hacked and the absentee owner decided to not revive the forum after. Forums of this quality are few and far between.

I've also had three Rangers. I started with my '85, and joined the forum with that truck in 2002 (I was '85RangerinSK). Years later, I got my '91, and then got the '90 in 2016. All of those rangers were owned years apart, though (the '85 was from 1998 to 2003, the '91 was from 2009 to 2013, and the '90 was from 2016 to...... well, I did a pretty severe mod on that truck, it's now a 1995 Ford Taurus sedan. Just kidding, the Ranger is in a field at a friend's farm, we swapped - he gave me his Taurus in exchange for the Ranger, because the Ranger wasn't worth fixing.

Yea..I never set out to buy a Ranger. I was with my Dad on my way to look at a '78 C10 4x4 when I spotted my '92 for sale at a gas station. Went and looked at the C10, decided it was too much of a project, went back to check out the Ranger. Bought it Christmas Eve 2002.
I never intended to modify it. I wanted to buy a T-top Mustang my friends neighbor was selling for $300. But my Dad wanted to look at it with me before I bought it, he drug his feet, and the guy ended up giving it away to someone else.
Here we are 18 years later, I've owned 4 Rangers (and a B2 but it was never driveable), and still have 2, one being that same 1992 2wd Ex-cab 4.0l 5-spd. It's pretty modified at this point, I don't think I'll ever part with it.

It all started with the '94 that needed and engine, then the '87 BII, then the '92 V8 swap, then the '91 for the grandson---on and on it goes.

Just one, so far. But it gets ALL my Ranger love.
