i was sitting here thinking and came up with this, a stinger bar that you could fold down for pulling an engine or even a step for working on it? so i was thinking bushings and mounts where youd normally weld or solid mount it and one crossbar on the upright hoop for a step when its in the down position and when in the upright position you secure your winch line to it? so what do you guys think? worth it

personally i do not see its value might come in handy if your vehicle is really lifted but a ladder will do that. and for pulling an engine im sure that's not going to happen often enough to justify the mod. i would make it solid maybe incorporate a step

i second that

i respect everyones opinion here but i can tell you right now somewhere down the road im gonna build one of these just to be different! as far as strength goes though does anyone see any issues i might be missing?

Make it! I'm interested in this, I think it could be useful.

excellent concept but depending how you use your truck its not practical. I have seen guys with stingers use them as a ramming horn into a rock ledge and i have seen guys who use them for keeping tall grass out of their grill. As far as practical I would say it would be hard to make the mount/locking device rigid enough for abuse and would personnaly just incorporate a step into it. But if your a desert guy and its just a brush guard go for it. Build it so you can say you did and if it flops who cares at least you tried it!

as somebody that does have a functional stinger. im going to say no.
