Well I'm looking into a 1988 Ranger with a 5.0 and T-5 out of a mustang. It looks like the swap was done tastefully, and it has the rear upgraded to a 8.8.
It was originally a 2.3 5 speed truck. It has a fuel cell and a 4 bbl carb. It looks like a solid truck just wasnted some feedback before I actually purchased it.
Thanks in advance
Ricky

As long as it runs and doesn't have any problems go for it.

Go over it like you would any used vehicle. Listen to the engine at idle and through the normal driving range. Check all gauges for normal operating temps, voltage, oil pressure etc. Drive it at least 10 miles round trip to get a "feel" for it at different speeds. Then.. Go with your gut

Hope it works out for ya.. Nice looking truck btw

From the pic's it looks like its put together well,As others have stated,Check out the basics/Odd smells/vibrations/noises on the test drive,Good luck.
I like those side pipes:icon_thumby:

Sidepipes!!!!!!!!! Now that's old schooooooooool.....check it out good.....then DO IT!!!

Nice looking truck...and I do like the dizzy boot...those things are worth their weight in topless dancers...

Only thing I'd suggest is have a really good look at the frame and firewall...as well as the door posts...if that passes muster I'd buy it...but you're in FL...so if the truck has existed in FL all the time there should be little or no rust...except we don't always know where they came from...sorta like topless dancers...

It looks nice, i really like the rake it has, gives it a good look :icon_thumby:

Not bad looking. A nicer set of rims would really make it stand out.

How much?....For the truck, not the topless dancers....:icon_confused:

Looks like a well thought out build. Drive it, look it over and if you like enough buy it.
