why may i ask? from my experience those dogs need a LOT of exercise to keep from going bonkers.i had a border collie from an irish herding line who would snap at your face growing up,and the other "working dogs" i've known were similarly sketchy and would fight to the death/kill sheep just as quick or faster than some of the crazy pits i know.IMO Border Collies and Aussies are the way to go.
.
haha! yep! i can't buy toys fast enough, its branches and firewood for my grinder-i mean pit.if you can stand a hyper oh bog george what way they go.... lick aholic, tail beating, loyal as can be, bed hog, goof ball, great with kids, can take a beating and ear pulling, and looks great in the passenger seat of a ranger.........pittbull.
only down fall, they go threw toys like crazy.
grump can take up the whole couch if i let him too, lol.
also if you give the short hairs a bath somewhat regularly they don't stink the way labs and others do.i don't like having to wash my hands after i pet my dog
i worked mine with sheep dogs herding and surprised the hell out of those old timers.even had a few suggest i should do the sheep dog trials.I've had the opposite experience with Pits. At the kennel I worked at for a year, the majority of the dogs we had were Pit Bulls, and the majority of them were the nicest dogs you've ever seen. I'm not really a fan of the breed but when raised properly they can be very sweet dogs.
i won't get a pit again because it can be nerve wracking protecting them from all the assholes out there who freak about pits.my dog NEVER starts fights or can't be called off but always gets beat or kicked by some jerk with a foul tempered lab, collie or other so called "nice" breed.hes got scars from fox terriers and other little assholes but has never hurt a yap dog.
your pit gets loose? call animal control and grab a gun.
