so a few days ago i ordered subs from dealer cost car audio, and since im excited ive been checking their site for updates on my shipping status. no tracking number has been given, it shows that my payment has been recieved, further investigation/ research using the search funtion here shows that many others have been screwed by DCCA and im wondering if im going to be next? damn me for being a cheap ass!

I think you may have been dude..Is there an ACTUAL telephone number you can call? Give it a try maybe.. When it comes to CHEAP audio prices i've always dealt with http://CarAudioDeals.com without problems
 
Sorry to hear about your luck. Any decent credit card company or financial institution should be able to get your money back.

sorry its out of cali. id go get them my self. for you. but im looking at the other ocean.
on a side note. i ordered some comp parts for a hole in the wall place down state. (trying to help the lil guy) well got the run around..... you would be surprised the costumer service you get when you step into the office in full camo, complaning that you needed the parts for afters todays bear hunting you were doing ect ect ect.
 
im thinking maybe we (the guys in the audio forum) should make a sticky with a list of reputable online weve dealt with and comments about our experiences. i think this would help inform other members what to expect when dealing with certain online vendors?
 
sure maybe a list of pros and cons.... IE crutchfeild more $$$$ but they give you all the stuff you may forget as a first timer in there lil kits.
 
exactly, i know alot of the questions that come up on here are about what do you think off speaker XXX or amplifier YYY but there isnt much to go off from as far as where to buy it unless you have a local audio store that youve been to and feel comfortable buying from. the once closest to me did an install job on my friends 94 explorer back in high school (2002) and back in 06 we pulled the radio out to put it into his new chevy before he sold the explorer and what i found was wires tied into knots and twisted together with electrical tape wrapped over the connection. that was enough to deter me from going there, so ive been buying online since then. i did recieve an email from DCCA stating that the order is still processing so im wondering if i should politely ask them to cancel my order and call the Credit card company and tell them a charge was made to a suspected fraudulent vendor or if i should just see what happens and in the mean time order some from crutch field or jl audio mobile (i got my grills from them within 3 days of ordering them, now i might not have subs to put them on)
 
What kind of subs did you order? My one 10 inch MA Audio carries a hell of a punch. That little Orion Cobalt 500.1 has some great power for the price. My poor Mustang rattles like a Dodge now because of them =).
 
well its been 9 days and still have not recieved a tracking number, i guess i should kiss my money good buy and start saving again until i can get this resolved.

but i agree a sticky with bad online sellers would be good, ive heard of many people getting scammed and it sucks to see someone else fall for their bs.
 
i wish i would have researched them more before placing my order, but i guess i learned my lesson on this one. hopefully things get sorted out and i either get my product or get my money back. either way, nothings gonna keep me from making my truck better.
 
well do you have the phone number to them. id like to think you would get your money back sooner if they got 30 phone calls a day telling them they suck and to give you your money back....? just an idea.
 
ive called twice and been on hold for 30 min each time, neither time did i even get to talk to a person. i email them daily and they always reply with an excuse as to why i have no tracking number yet like " will update within 2-3 days max", then after 4 days "order is processed, just waiting", so i asked what theyre waiting for and they replied "waiting on a stock transfer from our other warehouse". its such bs, these guys shouldnt even be in the audio business.
