the warn jeep hubs

I guess you could always do the D44 knuckle swap, then run drive flanges. That'd guarantee no more broken hubs for sure.
that would be an option if I hadn't just bought these in january 4 months is a bit ridiculous. If jim doesn't want to warranty them that is fine but a little help with a copy of the receipt would be greatly appreciated. Not sure if my aunt still has it she bought them for me after I pulled her son out of a hole and broke the autos

not to really try and piss u off or anything, but if u asked most people would have suggested the knuckle swap from the begining with u being locked up front on 34's, the weak point on the d35 is the outers

did jim ship u a reciept when u purchased them, really if he did, then u shoulda hung onto it for the lifetime warranty, and i bet jim will still try and provide u with a duplicate if u PM him and ask him for it

Recommended a knuckle swap from the beginning?

Yeah, not me.

I've been running those Jeep hubs for some years. I've put a few sets up shafts to death with them. I never even think about busting a hub now. The stock ones, PileMarkers and regular Warn Ranger hubs are made out of dried buttermilk. These guys do hold up. I have broken one, but it was my fault. I usually know when I'm on the edge and something is going to break. I use my truck daily--it lives in low-range--so I forget it is mortal. And that's when something goes wrong. But it's only been hubs once in 4 or 5 years. That's not bad. If you ever plowed snow, you know what I mean.

How long they will be around, I don't know. Might be a good time for everyone to buy a spare so Warn thinks the demand is still around.

Talk about passing the blame, is sounds like you passing the blame, because you didn't keep the reciept. There's no need to talk bad about Jim and his business because you lost you're receipt. It's you and you alone that should be keeping records for warranty issues. That's not Jims job to keep your receipts, and maybe that's why HE won't warantee it for you, because YOU don't have a receipt.

It's not the LTBs fault he has a heavy foot and lack of common sense when wheeling. A friend of mine has had 34 LTBs on his samurai (much weaker than a D35) for about 6 years and had no problems whatsoever, and I've been out on my 34s quite a few times with the front end welded and not had any problems. It's all about knowing when not to get stupid on the skinny pedal.

So because I say the least he could do is send a copy of the receipt I am passing the blame I said some things about how he does business be cause in the emails between me and him he pretty much washed his hands of the situation no offer to help or anything. so I screwed up and lost a receipt but what would it hurt for him to get me a copy so I can take it straight to warn. And I say if he is not gonna honor the warranty then he should make that clear still were is the harm in that.

to be honest with you I didn't open the box when it first got there so I am not sure if there was a receipt tomorrow I will call My aunt to see if by chance she still has the receipt but not sure.

If you tried this with any local 4x4 shop, I'm sure they would say the same thing, no reciept, no waranty. If you ordered something from Summit Racing, and went to them, I'm sure they would do the same thing.

i wonder if he plans on tellin the guys on the other site he lost his reciept???? instead of just bad mouthing jim all over the net??

Yeah, really. I'd like to know how some people blow hubs up.. I've flogged the shit out of my D35 with some excessive throttle application.. and I have yet to break a standard warn hub...

Well I guess I am just special or maybe sometimes shit just happens. Evidently I have done the impossible. When I was emailing Jim nothing was said about a receipt he just said he wouldn't warranty them so no he has never said no receipt no warranty. So the fact that I have only brought up the lost receipt on Jims site is a moot point. and just for yo guys I will make sure that I post on the other sites to make you fell all warm and fuzzy inside

He didn't loose his receipt. He never got one. I didn't get one when I ordered my Jeep hubs from Jim.

Warn expresses a lifetime warranty with all their hubs, so you should be entitled to a warranty. Did your Aunt send the payment via PayPal? If so, you may be able to get a receipt that way.

Jim, you should come on here and clear things up. If you know what he needs to do in order to redeem the warranty, tell him. I'd be interested myself. If he can't redeem the warranty, then you have a problem with your supply system, as that warranty asset is being lost somehow on the way from Warn to your customer.

EDIT: And I would not recommend a knuckle swap for 34s. Jeep hubs should be plenty strong enough for 35s of any kind on a locked axle. I run 35" ProComp Mudterrains, and have run 36.5" RVTs in the past, and that was with standard hubs. If you lock an axle and run big meats some care on the gas is required, even if you're running a D60.

if he had described the way he wheels, full throttle when hes HIGH CENTERED, i mean come one......noting will survive that, the second he tilts and probably grabbed i bet thats when the hub exploded, if he had done the knuckle swap and drive flanges he wouldnt be complain about hubs, he prolly have destroyed his axles with that manuver, atleast the hubs have a warrnaty, if it ws the axles that broke then ud have nothing to complain about

no it never tilted and I was not full throttle and I still have not destroyed my axles they still work fine. Yeah at least the hubs are warrantied but because he evidently doesn't send receipts with his packages (just spoke with the aunt said no receipt came in the box) and if he doesn't warranty the hubs that is fine but in order to return them to warn I need a receipt
