so guys i need your help with something. this morning when i went to go get my daily cup of coffee the 4x4 was acting weird in my truck, i left in it 4wd high all night, then got in it this morning, got to the top of my road where it was dry pavement and turned it back to 2 wheel drive.

a little later down the road i went to click it back into 4x4 high and i was greeted with a bunch of clicking noises and no 4 wheel drive... it was like a relay clicking on and off a bunch of times then nothing. no 4x4 light on the dash no 4 wheel drive, nothing. so i put it back in 2 wheel drive and kept going.. the on the way out of the tim hortons drive through, i tryed again same thing *click tictictictic click .... click... tictic" so i put it back into 2 wheel drive and drove all the way home, but when i pulled into the driveway and came to a complete stop, i tryed again.. and it worked like nothing was wrong, it clicked into 4 high, 4 lo, then back to 2 wheel drive fine... and i tryed a few times to see if it would mess up again but nothing, it just worked fine..

Now.. i know your saying "Well if its working now why are you asking here?" Well, i want to figure out whats causing this so it wont happen again.

Sounds like the shift motor on the transfer case may have been bound up, it may be worth unbolting it from the transfer case and cycling it a few times to make sure the electric motor isn't on its way out.

Allrighty thanks! Though it hasnt done it anymore since then. I'm thinking it might have been from the cold since it was like -23c or -9.4F that morning.

Also, i noticed while i was under my truck today my T-bars are maxed completely I thought it had aftermarket keys in the front and even with that its still a bit higher in the rear... how would i be able to level it out? new keys?

Oh annd I finally got a better rollbar in it now and a trailer hitch, And the best of all?....

I ordered a FX4 shifter off ebay I've wanted one since i had the truck and one popped up for like $100 so i grabbed it right away lol.

finally got my new HID's installed.


No their not blue anymore, but they do light up the road ALOT better than the 6000Ks did, these are 4300K so thy're a factory color HID.

I also got two of my new shocks in, I went with Pro-comp ES1000's mainly because of cost factor. I'll be putting the front ones in tomorrow, and try to grab some pictures. I'm also ditching the roll bar and going for a tonneau cover mainly because it will look cleaner.

Ranger got some new Pro-Comp rims and 265/75R16 Toyo Open Country A/Ts!

And 20% Tinted front windows, match the back ones perfectly.
Also smoked out the tail-lights




And i pulled up the bed-liner and found this...



So.. thats a update for now, I'm currently away working so things are gunna really slow down.

Good thing thats really the only rust on the bed, the rest of it is solid. My friend has a B4000 with rotten bed sides and bad ribs, but supirisingly that section is good, so we're going to cut it out and weld the good peice in, then this summer the bed is getting a spray in bed liner, so thati'll hide the two different colors lol.

You ever watch "Cold Water Cowboys"? Dunno about you but that show is......stupid? That show portrays everyone like bunch of buffoons.

When the cod fishery collapsed many years ago the was an influx of easterners to B.C., predominately from Newfoundland and I worked with many and they were the nicest and most honest hard working folk I've ever met.
