the (slow) progression of frankserrano's truck

yeah that would look killer!! a black bumper would help alot...
but i know u dont like white and black trucks :D

alright, i've been kinda slacking on keeping this thread updated, but unfortunately, i haven't been able to get any improvements or modifications done that i have planned.

but i've been doing a lot of repair work :annoyed: the old 4.0 was running like shit, i had two different cylinders misfiring at one point. that caused a spark plug change in the parking lot of autozone lol then i decided it was time for a tune up.

so at almost $7 a plug, i used these:

along with some duralast ignition wires, the truck is running like scalded dog now. i highly suggest these autolite plugs to all of you.

then i took the truck to tire kingdom for a $3.21 oil change and complete inspection. i told 'em to take a good look at the brakes and bearings for me. they said bearings and front brakes looked good but rear brakes needed a job done and my driver side axle seal is shot.

so off to autozone i went to pick up my parts lol they know me by my first name and know exactly what vehicle i drive. it's almost embarrassing.

so that's where i'm at now :icon_thumby:

P.S.: what do you think would be cheaper? buying this:

or having a welding shop make one for me?

that bar looks really nice man.
i think its cheapier/faster to buy it

definitely easier and faster but cheaper, i'm not sure about. i don't know what material and labor costs are these days.

dude! i might have found a brand new body lift on craig's list.

just talked to the guy today, picking it up next friday. brand new 3" body lift, $125 :icon_thumby: next step, 33s.

awesome man!!!

measure the lift blocks and take lots of pics, ull never know when crazy honduran may ask u for pics and measurements lol :icon_twisted:

I would build the bumper, then you know how beefy it is and what you can do to it before you ruin it.

but what i'm looking at is cost lol if i could get a shop to build it for chreaper than i could buy it, than goddam, that's the route i'll go.

so, in lieu of my purchasing a 3" body lift later today, i guess there won't be any kind of light bar being mounted to my frame. unless i had someone make some sort of lift bracket for them, it'd look retarded.

there will definitely be some body lift party pics up soon, i promise :yahoo:

and then this happened two days ago.

doesn't look too bad, right? i didn't purposely go through that track, i was trying to get around it slowly and my ass end slid into it. so i thought no biggie, i'll just flick it into four wheel. this is when i learned that my hubs aren't locking. which leads me to an important question.

AVM manuals or permanently lock them?
$140+shipping or free?

permanenty lock them.

and please dont get KC's. Hella or PIAA.
