i like the middle one....except i would move the spare to the forward "upper" area between the down bars....

i think it would be tough to take the spare off on the rear "upper" area he has it at....at least on the forward part you could stand on the bed to take the tire off....

im not gunna do it the way he had it, id almost like to do some sort of a "tailgate" if you wanna call it that, that would hold my spare and swing open to access the bed

makes me wanna tube the rear of my truck. ive only had 3 different beds on the truck in the last year ive owned it. i really dig the second one as well and would prefer more of a "tire gate" as you mentioned.

i used 4x4 .25 wall....i have about 50-60 feet of it so if you want some let me know ill hook ya up

Would be great if I could get enough for the crossmember . What is the measurement between the tube and frame up by the cab ? I'm guessing the gap in the rear is 2" ? Trying to come up with a plan and what I will need is hard to do with the bed still on .

What is your next step ? I'll call tomorrow and see what we can get tube for . Do you want 1.5" HREW .120 wall ?

hell ive got an 8 or 10 foot stick you can have,

are you talking about where the tube fits between the top and the bottom of the frame rail?

yea thats what i need, depending on prices id like to get 2 or 3 sticks
