the slo-vo build thread...

Get going on it. As soon as I can get my ranger on the road the Bronco is going under the knife. I've already sold the front suspension and axle.

and just because im thinking about it...do you think i should weld up the bend split on the passenger bracket? i welded the 2 on the back plate but left that one on the side plate. think its worth doing?

yea i did its bent about perfect, i wasnt 100% sure i was suposed to weld them up because i figured it would put alot of heat into the metal so i welded them about an inch at a time....one last bolt up to make sure the front plate is right and weld the last little bit and the passenger bracket will be ready for paint

a few pictures that i liked from the last trip...

He has an American truck so no DRL's. Mine is like that too. Trust me DRL's are the way to go, they have been proven to prevent collisions. I'm putting them on mine.

how do they prevent collisions? if its bad enough that you cant see a vehicle a nice ways ahead of you, then you should have your lights turned on anyways

Well to begin with a lot of people won't turn on their lights. And as a vehicle bobs up-and-down along the road your mind subliminally will notice it faster than a vehicle with no lights. As even on a conscious level we will see moving lights before moving shapes.

Haha, yeah, I put the last picture as my desktop. Your truck look so wicked, so low and wide.

Just a slight curiosity I have... What is your frame to ground height with your 35's aired up?

at the belly its 17.5 right behind the trans crossmember...but my tires are shot so it should probably be 18.5
