The Return To Wellsville 2013 (10/05/13) - Official

I'm not familiar withe the term NPT. And that was my idea for sealing it as well. I won't have to drop my axle to fill it up will I?

Just make a cardboard cutout of me and my truck and pretend I'm there. Lol

Haha. I still have to top my axle fluid levels to see if that stops the awful squeaking I have in 1st-3rd gears. The plug from ruff stuff for their diff cover doesn't exactly seal up well.

mine does the same thing. i put tape on it and it still didnt seal up lol.

ok so my truck is done. didnt really test drive it tho lol. guess i will find out how it does on the way there. but my dumb ass left all my tools at work and the shop doesnt open til 7. so i might be a little late to the 10am meeting point.

I did not get a chance to top off my axle oil due to the fact that the plug in a head head screw thing. Seth is a lot craftier than I am in order to fab something to get it out. So I'll be stopping by an oil place tomorrow and see if they can help me out for like 5-10 bucks.

You guys in real life are as bad as I am with college. Putting everything off until the 1-2 nights before it's needed/due. Lol.
Hey, I didn't have a choice! lol, my F-150 had to take priority on repairs...

We'll see how things go... I tried to get the batteries exchanged, I spent a bunch of time on the phone this morning trying to get things nailed down so I wouldn't have to waste a trip.... well, one wasted trip behind me. Don't EVER buy a Wal-Mart battery - the store will not warranty it, you have to call the manufacturer who is only open 8-5 Central time M-F. The two batteries I have from them have now cost me 2 lost days of gainful employment, nearly three hours of my time over the last two days, over 3 hours of my sleep time, and 3.7 gallons of gas. Both died in the 3-year free replacement period - neither will hold a charge for more than a day or two.

I have one on the charger all night tonight and I have another battery that might be good enough to jump if the wally-world pos doesn't charge.

Provided I can throw a battery in and give the choptop a quick test in the morning, I should be good to go. Not sure if I'll make it to the rest area in time or not though since I'll also have to throw the tow straps and stuff in the truck in the morning, get hooked up and all that fun stuff. I'll probably be on CB 19 on the way over unless ya'll plan on listening to a particular channel for me coming. Cross your fingers and hope things work out, if the choptop doesn't check out in the morning I don't know if I'll make it or not.

man this list is narrowing quick. i am about to head over to my work to pick up my truck and hopefully tools. grabbing some breakfast on the way there. i will be there.

Sitting in Goodyear for my 8am appt. And I'm in a line. How does that even work? What's the point of making an appt if you can't even keep them!!!

Ok, so I had to end up at plan C with trying to get the choptop running.... the wally world battery failed to charge overnight. I tried another battery I had that I wasn't too sure of and I got CLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK. So I hooked up the jumper cables to my F-150 with the 130a alternator for a bit and we got a start. Clutch also is working.

The bad news... I am not going to be able to make it by 10 am. Probably more like 10:30 ish. If that's ok, I'll head out but I don't want to miss everyone and be stuck.

Not going to make it.... spent the last hour fighting a frozen hitch - the one that I greased and replaced the pin in a couple months ago so I wouldn't have this problem... yea, that one. If I trusted the choptop to make the trip by itself, I would have skipped towing it out there and just drove it, but with the problems I've had with it the last few months.....

Sorry guys, I really wanted to go but at this point even if I was able to finish getting hooked up and out of here in the next 15 minutes, it would be after 11 before I'd make it there, I can't hold ya'll up that long. It's upsetting to no end to finally have a truck that I can wheel and I haven't been able to make anything this year. Probably doesn't help that I'm losing my job and don't have anything else set up either, I got stuck at work an extra hour last night too. :(

Take lots of pictures!!
