The Red Devil Ranger. Trail Rig build.

Most of the work you see is my Dad, JayW. I'm the small project guy. Paint, grinding, some welding, getting the bed smoothed out and clean. Getting the stripes off, ect ect. :icon_welder: But thank you. :icon_thumby:

I finished up the shifters and reinstalled them for the last time, hopefully. The boot setup could have been better but it wil work just fine.

The taller one is the stock case and the other is the doubler.

Looks awesome.:icon_thumby: Did you make those shifter knobs? They look good.:headbang:

I have been working on the fuel tank the last couple weekends to try and get this project mobile again. We found a steel tank at the swap meet that was close to what we needed. It started out like this, about 25 gallons.

After some of this:

And cutting about 6" off the top, it ended up about 17 gallons. It uses the stock pump/sending unit and an aftermarket filler. It will be mounted in the bed right against the cab.

keep turning out the awesome work:icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

wish I had access to that kind of equipment again:sad:

hopefully we can expect some action shots in the not too distant future....

Looks great. What are you doing for bumpers??

Not sure yet, we are looking for cool designs. Probably tube but possibly plate type in front with winch mount. Also tube sliders at some point. For now the stock bumpers are going on just to get it out and see if there's any bugs to fix.

I have been working on small things that take way too long. Brake lines are done. Rear drop is a late 70's F250 part, rear caliper lines are a Chevy 1/2 ton, Front drops are Earl's braided 26".

Bumpstops all around are GM part #15712438. Shocks are a swap meet special with a mix of old parts, lasered tabs and homemade parts for mounts.

Also got started installing Pacer Universal flairs, 2 1/4" wide.

At some point we will attack the bodywork on the bed bob but for now we want to get it ready to drive and see how things work.

If that's not motivation I don't know what is! Nice work keep it up.

What rear springs are you using?
