The Red Devil Ranger. Trail Rig build.

Very nice! Just wondering if you narrowed the 44 at all? Oh, and was that 44 originally a leaf or coil axle?

3.75" off the long side. It was a 1979 leaf spring. After changing the outers to 6 lug it ended up about 62.75" wide.

Love the bobbed bed. So how long is the bed now?

Update 4/1/12.

The bed was the main priority this weekend.

We were worried about the lines on the bottom of the bed.

So, a chunk of the bottom came off to move the lines so they line up. It turned out pretty well. Yes, I see me in the reflection too. :icon_rofl:

The top line lined up perfectly.

Also, just a misc thing, got the healights polished and cleaned because they were really yellow.

Very cool build. I am a stickler for details, and I can tell a lot of thought has gone into this build. Good work, keep it up.

Not a lot happening on this lately. The projects I am working on are slow and tedious.

Drivelines are done and ready to go in. 1310 joints on all but the case end of the front. I hope to upgrade it when I can gather the parts.

Custom made TC shifters for the stock case and doubler. I combined parts from 2 stock shifters using 1 stock pivot point. They will tuck in nicely to each other and use a Jeep type twinstick boot.

Love the build! That bobbed bed is absolutely killer!:icon_hornsup:
This is pretty close to what I want to do my truck. It'll have to wait until I learn to weld, go to school, and learn much other stuff, but I am determined!:headbang:
Great build man, subscribed. Keep it up.

The bed looks sweet. I clicked on this and was expecting another build of some kid with new taillights and a stereo. But you can fab, I'm digging it makes me wish I would have kept more sheet metal with mine.
