since nothing i own gets better than 13 mpg (except the wifes car) i figured i'd have to stop pouring money into the gas tank

picked up an 89 ranger the begining of april and went to town on it.
2.3 5 speed, no power steering, crank windows, rubber floor(not anymore though)

so here's the pics

what's centurion about the last one?

really? i did not know that... so is it a converted body, or is it an f-250 body on a f-150 frame?

That dually only gets 13 mpg......... Mine gets 18.

I believe they are a crew cab bolted to a stretched F-150 frame.

Centurion conversions were BA. I've seen a 91 250 that was nicer than my first apartment and a later (98 maybe) 350 that had the Centurion II kit so it was basically an excursion. All closed in, seats all the way back, pretty cool.

The Centurion builders made a lot of conversions…F-150-F350 and the F550 as well. I saw several 94-96 F150 Crewcabs and still see them for sell once in awhile or running around. They did Chevy conversions and if I remember they did some Dodge’s as well. Centurion were famous for the 4 door Broncos of the past. People loved this setup back in the 90’s. Some of the Fords I have seen had the short bed box attached to them. I believe this was the F250 body placed on the f150 frame. Hear are a few photos of the 94 and 96 Centurion conversions and a shot of the Centurion name badge .

And yes its an f250 cab on a stretched 150 frame. A real pita to find u joints for it

yeah the bronco's are pretty BA, there's atleast 1 running around my town...

Here here!

IIRC that one has some swivel seats and a card table in the center section.

i was just reading the first couple posts in the "now that's a stretch" thread and by the sounds of it, it's 2 buckets in the front, 2 rear facing buckets in the middle, and a forward facing bench in the back... but that was how long ago?
