I ran a pfSense box with pfBlocker for almost 10 years but it flaked out on me. I have two people in the house who WFH and I got ripped a new one because it crashed while I wasn't around and they couldn't work.
I had to just bite the bullet and buy a router (Asus RT-AX88U Pro). So I went back to a Pihole install with these boxes. There are two for redundancy and I also have a spare router, fully configured if something should happen.
