The Kids Just Don't Understand

I would of just pulled over and watched him try and pull him out that way. That would have been a priceless moment to witness lol.

I hope the fact that I was joking came across well lol

That would be pretty funny to see tho.

Some one commented on youtube saying something like

"I wonder if they're still all friends. Something to think about"

It was tragic today. 3 Ford owners in a parking lot. Only one knew what to do. (Me)

We've gotten quite a bit of snow here in the last few days. Nothin too deep, but we just keep gettin it and it melts and we get more.

Today at school a kid in a Probe slid into a gard rail entering the parking lot at my school. Another kid in an Explorer stopped to tow him out. I pull up.

The tow hook is wrapped around the radiator of the probe, and around the explorers ball hitch. They're about to try it when I started beating on the windows.

I had to grab my strap, crall under the probe and hook it to the frame in a secure spot. Then I had to teach the explorer driver how to use 4low.

It saddened me deeply.

We got the probe out, and only minor damage. Giant scratch along the door and fenders, broken mirror, and the rear lights are toast. I'll have pictues tomorrow.

BUT STILL! How could some one not know how to use 4low? And how could they think the thin little radiator would be a great anchor spot???

Once again, my heart is weaping.

And the day before, another friend in an Exploder was doin some doughnuts and he hit a curb and busted the tire off teh bead. They call me up in class to go changer their tire cause they cant figure out how to jack it up and get the spare out. Wtf?

He drilled the curb pretty hard too. Bent his rim and busted a lug nut clean off. Damn

How could people be so ignorant?

our gen in lazy adam, me and u belong to maybe the 15% of teens who do shit right and work hard for ours. thats mostly why most ppl now a days are ignorant:buttkick:

+1 Mike

A friend of mine just drove her H2 up a volkswagon and it rolled.

She's on her 4th car.

Too much money

Some people just don't understand I guess......

We have this Toyota Tercel at the shop right now. Its standard and the guy tried changing the transmission oil himself. However, he forgot one important thing...To add the oil. We're lucky we have a Jeep with a push bar on the front of it for when retarded tow truck drivers who know the transmission is siezed and will not come out of gear and not let the wheels move at all, leaves the car at the bottom of an icy hill for us. For that case 4lo is my best friend.

For the assident thing. I think almost everyone of my freinds have done a serious amount of damage to their vehicle. A friend of mine who is a Mechanical Engineer drove his Jeep nearly to the point of distruction by not having any coolant in it from the thermostat gasket letting go. Most of the others have been because of them talking on cell phones, like turning to early and hitting the ditch 10 feet before the driveway (still havn't figured that one out, but she is a chevy driver so i guess that makes sence now).

The biggest problem with teens now is that either they are too stuck up or too "rich" to learn to do manual labour on their own. So many of the people in my area have the "I'll let someone else do it" attitude, thats why i'll charge to fill up windshield washer fluid at times, or change wiper blades, or fill up the tires with air. Also everyone now wants it RIGHT NOW AND IT HAS TO BE RIGHT NOW. Holy shit people, If you walk into my shop without an appointment and demand to have your vehicle serviced before the people with and appointment who have been waiting days, even weeks for it, you are going to be ignored and put on hold so I can inconvienance you as much as possible. Its different why then say "can I get an oil change now?" "no sorry, we're booked up today" "when would be the first chance I could get in?" that I don't have a problem with. Its the people "I need an oil change right now" "no, sorry, we're booked up today" "well and oil change doesn't take long, its easy *look into parking lot and see a 1 ton dodge diesel*" "Right, have you ever done one yourself on that vehicle?" That $50 dollar oil change there on the board need not apply in your situation, add another $70 for labour time and parts costs on top of that. People, do not demand to be first if you don't have an appointment, make the appointment, and then you'll get in right when you need to. sorry, end rant.

Hey Shoeboy! Ahh the joys of dealing with the public eh? I love turing away people that come into our shop and demand things. We are always busy and book up to a week in advance. We don't need customers like that in our business thats for sure.

$50 for an oil change?? its only about $20 tops around here...i do my own anyways...

At my old high school it was pretty bad. I do live in a pretty rich area with lots of yuppies who let their dumb kids drive their Audis and Bimmers to school, but still. I saw 2 jocks trying to jump a car, and neither was running. Another girl had to call a tow truck to get a jump.

Me? I changed my starter in the parking lot one day during open period, and wired in my stereo another day.

I know my dad told me that if I wanted something, I had to work for it. I even had to work(do chores) around the home to get food, clothing on my back, and a roof over my head. I traded my cow for my first truck. A 1981 Ford F-150. Point is my dad made sure I learned alot and knew how to do anything from carpenter work to auto work on my own. I didn't care for all the work then, but man I THANK him now!! But yeah there are alot of lazy people these days and you'd be suprised how little they know.

Ya, $50 is right around average in my area, no body wants to do it themselves, and no shop (aside from Wal-Mart) will do it for anywhere near $20, Wal-Mart in our area uses recycled oil too, so thats why its so cheap. Here, no shop will do it for under $50 because it takes about 30 minutes to do one, and most shops in our area run between $95-105/hour. Even charging $50 we're still losing out on labour charges. Minit-Lube, and Jiffy-Lube, and whatever all charge about $50 too.

Let em rip their cars to shit, it's kinda like natural selection...
