The Great American Classic

are we all talking about mustangs or rangers?

I’m fairly certain 4wheel disc has been standard on mustangs since the SN95. ABS or not.
You're talking Mustangs, I think @-Nate and @JoshT are talking rangers, not realizing this is a thread about your V6 Mustang

RE : Brake Rotors & Topic Drift ;

Okay, LMR or LMC ? .

I just looked and only LMC came up, I'll give them a look .

Yes, we were talking abut Rangers but the O.P. here was talking about his Mustang he's been diligently bringing back to life and safety .

I greatly appreciate being allowed to meander in threads like this because I'm always learning or discovering new suppliers, etc. , etc. .

I need to find my 2001 Ranger thread and add some works to it, one persistent issue is I think almost solved after several annoying years .

Kind of. It sounded like Nate was talking about Rangers, unless hes got a 2001 Mustang as well. I assumed that Roert42 was responding to Nate talking about Rangers, which still would have made sense in that context since his Ranger is a 2011 with rear disc. I was responding to their apparent discussion about Rangers.

Mustangs went to rear disc much, much earlier.

Thanx Josh ! reading that makes me realize others may have difficulty understanding what's what .

LMC doesn't seem to have any brake parts for my 2001 .

They are better for older stuff. If I'm being honest, I wouldn't use LMC for maintrence type items on the older stuff either. They are better as a source of parts that other palces might not carry, or acessories. Restoration type stuff.

THANK YOU ! .

I'm needing front brake rotors and they're apparently made of silver they're $o expen$ive .

Rock Auto has them very affordably but won't ship ti California .

Did about 100 miles between driving it to work today and the hardware store yesterday.

Only CEL is for misfire on 1. Definitely has a misfire.
Once i get that cleared up it’ll be off for inspection.

oh......i forgot about this.

The misfire was due to the injector plug being not plugged in all the way. Clip was broken, so after driving it a bit it came loose. New plug installed. Runs great.

Passed inspection, had an alignment done at the same time.

I’ve been driving it to work on and off.

The driver side window came loose from the regulator, and the regulator was all messed up. So I paid the dealer near my work to replace it.

Nice being able to drive with the windows up or down.

Going to try and shampoo the interior smells terrible when driving with the windows up.

Gotta clean the mouse poop from the glove box.

Gonna try and pull the vent covers and clean in there too.

Sometimes it takes a long while to get that smell out, be strong and run the fan constantly .

I use rubbing alcohol. It works well and sterlizes all at the same time.

In general I remove the seats and carpet/mat, there's always crud settled into the upholstery, careful cleaning will get it out and make even old & worn carpets / mats look better plug less stink .

I always scrub the bare floors whilst the interior is out .

Cleaning all the plastics, inside the glovebox, up under the dash board, pretty much everything air touches will hold the smell .

Don't ever use alcohol, it damages plastic and upholstery .
